Stanton Barrett looking to run more races

One of the more vibrant cars seen on Friday at Talladega Superspeedway was that of Stanton Barrett. And that was thanks to a first-time sponsor. Running his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race of 2019, Barrett partnered with Rick Ware Racing to start Sunday’s Geico 500. With Huski Chocalate drapped across the bright-red No. 52, the 46-year-old worked hard to get the company into the Cup Series. Barrett co-owns Huski Chocolate, running the North America market for the Eurpean-based brand. This weekend at Talladega is part of the build-up strategy before their launch of cold, organic hot chocalate later this year. Huski is involved in Formula 1 and IndyCar, supporting McLaren’s efforts in each top racing series. With a deep connection to motorsports, growing a brand through NASCAR takes more than the brand itself. The Hollywood stuntman Barrett is also looking to connect Huski with local food markets around the race tracks. “We’re going to do more races and hopefully partner with some grocery stories and co-op marketing efforts to hopefully get associated with these stores. With no set schedule for future races, Barrett noted a few potential weekends to come, including Michigan, Watkins Glen and Texas. “We [will] go to races that we have a good shot at running well [at],” he said. “Also, where the brand fits to do those regional test markets.
