Christopher Bell delivered a masterful performance on Thursday night by winning all three races in which he started during his preliminary night efforts in the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals.
The three-time and defending Chili Bowl put on a clinic in the Tulsa Expo Center Raceway and battled through the remaining three drivers in his path, taking the lead from the No. 7X of Thomas Meseraull with a high side pass around the rim on lap 12.
Despite a brief run-in with lapped traffic on the final lap, Bell still managed to coast across the finish line 1.114 seconds ahead of Mesaraull.
With the victory, Bell keeps pace with fellow race favorites Kyle Larson and Rico Abreu, whom also won preliminary races earlier in the week. Cannon McIntosh opened the festivities with a preliminary victory on Monday as an interesting addition to the group of contenders.
