One day before NASCAR resumes its 2020 season, Alex Bowman broke the news on Twitter that he will be back with 12-time Cup Series champions Hendrick Motorsports in 2021.
In the midst of his third year driving full-time for car owner Rick Hendrick, Bowman currently sits a career-high fourth in the Cup standings. The Tucson, Arizona native is coming off a 2019 season of personal bests that saw him record his first Cup win at Chicagoland Speedway and secure his second consecutive playoff berth with No. 88 crew chief Greg Ives.
Pumped to lock down the contract extension for 2021! Couldn?t be more excited to return to @TeamHendrick next season and keep the good times rolling in the 88! Thanks for all the support, can?t wait to get to Darlington tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/b1YNHViR5n
