Charlotte Motor Speedway to add lights for Cup Series Roval race: UPDATE

Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports reports that Charlotte is adding an additional 15 lights for today’s Cup Series race on the track’s road course.

Original post: Charlotte Motor Speedway track president Marcus Smith said Saturday night that the track will add temporary lights to the infield for Sunday’s Cup Series race on the track’s road course.

The majority of the XFINITY Series race on Saturday was run in wet conditions, from a drizzle to downpours, and ran longer than expected following a red flag due to standing water in the chicane.
