Grant Enfinger Replacing Brandon Gdovic at Charlotte for Sam Hunt Racing

Sam Hunt Racing announced Saturday morning (May 29) that Grant Enfinger will replace Brandon Gdovic in the No. 26 Toyota at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

In Friday’s lone practice for the Alsco Uniforms 300, Gdovic was the slowest of the 43 drivers to turn a lap, posting a time of 160.199 mph, nearly two seconds off the next slowest driver.

The team stated Gdovic  felt uncomfortable, as he hasn’t competed on a mile-and-a-half track since 2015 at Texas Motor Speedway (series debut).

Enfinger, who is coming off a 14th-place run in Friday’s Camping World Truck Series event, will make his series debut. That is, however, if the No. 26 Toyota qualifies into the 300-mile race.
