Mike Harmon Racing announced on Friday afternoon (June 25) that Jesse Iwuji will drive the No. 74 Chevrolet this weekend in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Pocono Raceway.

Sponsored by eRacing Association/Gap Em, Iwuji will be making his 2021 Xfinity debut. The last time he competed in the series was last November, finishing 3oth in the championship race at Phoenix Raceway, driving for BJ McLeod Motorsports.

In four career Xfinity starts, Iwuji has an average finish of 26.5, with his best result coming last fall at Texas Motor Speedway (23rd). Iwuji has competed in three Camping World Truck Series races this season for Reaume Brothers Racing.

Iwuji replaces primary driver of the No. 74 car, Bayley Currey. In 13 races this season, Currey has an average result of 28.8, though gave Mike Harmon Racing its best finish in team history at Phoenix, finishing seventh.

Currey is scheduled to drive in the Truck Series race on Saturday for Niece Motorsports. He will return to MHR next weekend at Road America.
