Hailie Deegan hopes to return to Trucks, eyes some Xfinity races in 2022

NASCAR driver Hailie Deegan, who competes primarily in the Camping World Truck Series, stopped by the SBJ office in Charlotte to talk about her progress in ’21 and plans for next year. In a video interview with motorsports writer Adam Stern, Deegan focuses on her sponsorships, learning from veteran drivers and success on social media.

On racing full time in ’22: “My hope is to race full-time trucks, and that’s kind of the plan right now whether we’re fully funded or not. … The dream would be to race a few Xfinity races by the end of the year to get our feet wet, because that’s obviously where I want to go in the future.”
