UPDATE (10-2-2021): Sam Hunt, team owner of Sam Hunt Racing confirmed to Jayski.com that Kris Wright will drive the No. 15 Toyota at the Charlotte ROVAL next weekend.
However, it will be a JD Motorsports effort, with their own crew chief and crew working on the car. For the last four weeks, JDM has been filling the No. 15 car after Colby Howard departed from the team prior to the Xfinity Series race at Richmond Raceway on Sept. 11.
ORIGINAL POST (10-1-2021): Next weekend at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL, Kris Wright will drive the No. 15 Toyota for JD Motorsports in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race.
JD Motorsports owns the No. 15, but made a deal with Sam Hunt Racing to put Wright in the car. The car will be from the Sam Hunt Racing race shop.
First National Bank will sponsor Wright. This will mark his seventh start of the season, all coming on road courses. In his first six outings, he’s earned a best finish of 17th at Watkins Glen International.
I guess the cats out of the bag then. I will be piloting the #15 F.N.B Supra for SHR in the final road course at @CLTMotorSpdwy next weekend. Ready to put this car up in the front where it belongs. Thank you @SamHunt22 for everything this year! @Team_SHR26 @ToyotaRacing pic.twitter.com/gDV8OOY4pp
