UPDATE: In a news release from the Rowan County’s Sheriff’s Office, Carson Ware was involved in an altercation with Kenneth Evans, who is the crew chief and operations director at Rick Ware Racing. Ware had been staying at Evans’ residence.
According to the release, Ware was intoxicated and belligerent, and advised to go to bed by Evans and his girlfriend, Melissa Katsamperis. Ware then got physical and the couple called 911.

Original Post (10-20-2021):Carson Ware has been suspended by NASCAR and SS Green Light Racing after Rowan County online records show that he was arrested early Wednesday morning on misdemeanor charges of assault on a female, simple assault and injury to personal property.
Ware’s bond was set at $1,000, with a court date of Nov. 19. Garrett Smithley will drive the No. 17 car for SS Green Light Racing.
Both SS Green Light Racing and Rick Ware Racing made statements about the arrest.
