Stewart Friesen will test a Next Gen car on the Wythe Raceway dirt track, a half-mile high-banked clay oval to help determine a tire for the Bristol dirt race, FOX Sports reporter Bob Pockrass tweeted on Wednesday.
Friesen’s test follows Tuesday’s Next Gen test at Bowman Gray Stadium involving Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Tony Stewart and Clint Bowyer. The test was to take away information as the circuit prepares for the first race with the Next Gen, the non-points earning Clash, at the Los Angeles Coliseum.
