NASCAR has released the post-race penalty report from the Daytona 500 race weekend. There were two penalties for the loss of wheels:

Safety Sections 10.5.2.6: Loss or separation of an improperly installed tire/wheel from the vehicle
Note: Loss of tire/wheel during the event.
Crew Chief (Trent Owens) and crew members (Jacob Nelson and Marshall McFadden) have been suspended from the next four Championship Series’ events.
2/20/2022 (race)
#50-Grala

Crew Chief (Tony Eury Jr.) and crew members (Chris Zima and Aaron Powell) have been suspended from the next four Championship Series’events.
There were no penalties to the Roush Fenway Keslowski or Team Penske teams for wheels that were confiscated.
NASCAR said the following: “NASCAR met with Next Gen suppliers and several race teams this week to discuss wheel specifications. Following that discussion, NASCAR made small adjustments to increase the upper tolerance on pin and pilot bores for Fontana. NASCAR will reevaluate with suppliers and race teams and determine a path forward following this weekend’s race.”
