FOX Sports reporter Bob Pockrass says that Hailie Deegan may be moving to ThorSport Racing in the ride recently vacated by Christian Eckes. With Deegan, a Ford driver, climbing behind the wheel, the team would need to switch manufacturers yet again, and transition back to Ford after running Toyota the last two seasons.
Pockrass also indicates that there are no further expected driver changes for the team. Past champions Matt Crafton and Ben Rhodes, and Ty Majeski would return.
Christian Eckes to drive McAnally Hilgeman Racing No. 19 truck in 2023. Eckes departure from ThorSport opens up a seat potentially for Hailie Deegan (ThorSport would have to switch to Ford). ThorSport indicated to me last night nothing to announce as they work on 2023 plans.
