Aric Almirola will run a Dale Earnhardt, Jr. inspired throwback paint scheme at Darlington Raceway next week when the Cup Series rolls into town for the annual throwback weekend.
“The team asked me to pick my favorite paint scheme for this year’s Too Tough To Tame throwback race,” Almirola said of the unveil.
“Dale Jr.’s 2001 Daytona win in the iconic baseball scheme was the first that came to mind. An iconic and healing moment in our sport’s history. Honored to run it next weekend.”
