NASCAR’s $500,000 Triple Truck Challenge returns to World Wide Technology Raceway in 2023 for June 3 Toyota 200

One NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver could earn an extra $500,000 between May 26 and June 23 by winning World Wide Technology Raceway’s Toyota 200 on June 3 and the races at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Nashville Superspeedway.

Once again, NASCAR is offering up the Triple Truck Challenge, an exciting incentive for hard-charging winners who see a mammoth bonus on the horizon if they can secure victories on three diverse tracks. WWTR is a 1.25-mile oval with two different sets of turns. Nashville Superspeedway is a 1.33-mile d-shaped oval and Charlotte – the oldest of the three – is a 1.5-mile superspeedway, constructed in 1959.

If a driver wins one race of the Triple Truck Challenge, he will receive a bonus of $50,000. If a driver wins two of the three Triple Truck Challenge races, he earns $150,000. If a racer is lucky enough to win all three, the overall bonus is $500,000.

Since its inception in 2019, no driver has been able to win all three races in one season to collect the $500,000 bonus. Ross Chastain won WWTR’s Toyota 200 in 2019, followed by Sheldon Creed in 2020. WWTR was not part of the Triple Truck Challenge in 2021. Corey Heim won the Toyota 200 in 2022.

The June 3 Toyota 200 consists of 160 laps/200 miles. Stage 1 ends at lap 35; Stage 2 concludes at lap 70 and the Final Stage ends at lap 160 (checkered flag).
