Ken Schrader named the 2024 Speedway Legend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Ken Schrader has raced most every kind of motorized vehicle and has raced them almost everywhere. Schrader’s versatility, along with his good-natured relationship with race fans, has earned him the recognition as the 2024 Speedway Legend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Schrader, who has competed in more events than even he can count, will join fellow luminaries Mark Martin and Rusty Wallace as the third driver selected for this honor.

“Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a place I have raced many times, whether it be in a Cup car, dirt car or you name it, and I’ve always loved coming to that race track,” Schrader said. “I’m honored and appreciative of the speedway taking a moment to honor me at next year’s South Point 400. I’m already looking forward to spending the weekend with the fans and some old friends.”

Schrader will participate in fan events, Q&A sessions, pre-race ceremonies and have a special suite designated in his honor for the Oct. 18-20, 2024 South Point 400 Weekend.  Fans will be able to join him in the suite.

“Kenny Schrader has been an incredible ambassador for all forms of motorsports for several decades,” said LVMS President Chris Powell. “When we discussed some of the options with race fans on whom we should honor next year, Schrader’s name kept coming up.  The fans just love the guy because he’s just like one of them – has a huge passion for racing through every bone in his body.  We can’t wait to have him here next year to celebrate his career.”

Schrader posted four NASCAR Cup Series victories in a remarkable 763 starts over his 29-year career. He was the first driver ever to post wins in the Cup, Xfinity and Truck Series – something 39 more drivers have accomplished since he completed the trifecta on April 15, 1995 in a Truck race at Saugus Speedway in California.

Tickets for next year’s South Point 400 Weekend as well as the March 1-3 Pennzoil 400 Weekend are on sale now at www.lvms.com or by calling 1-800-644-4444.
