Bubba Wallace, John Hunter Nemechek, Corey Heim competing in IMSA race at Daytona

SMOOGE Racing will make their 2024 debut campaigning two Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO’s in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series opener at Daytona International Speedway on Friday, January 26.

The No. 23 Mobil 1 GR Supra will feature the IMSA series debut for NASCAR Cup Series drivers, Bubba Wallace and John Hunter Nemechek, who will be joined by the 2023 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series regular season champion, Corey Heim. The No. 68 PRAX Leadership GR Supra will be piloted by GT4 champions, John Geesbreght and Kevin Conway, while former Rolex 24 winner and IMSA GTD Endurance Champion, Corey Lewis, will complete the driver lineup.

“We are very excited to run two GR Supra GT4 EVOs at Daytona this year. Having Bubba, John Hunter and Corey in the 23 car is a major honor and testament to Smooge Racing, “said Team Principal Kevin Conway. “I’m also looking forward to racing with John Geesbreght and Corey Lewis in the PRAX Leadership GR Supra. John and I have had a lot of success together and we are looking forward to building on that at Daytona.”

MulL-championship winning Smooge Racing is carrying their momentum from the 2023 season as they are set to field mulLple entries in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series, GT4 America and the Toyota GR Cup Series.

“We had a great season last year as we expanded into GR Cup and conLnued success with our current entries across other motorsport forms,” said Conway. “We are building on that foundation as we are fielding multiple GR Supra GT4 EVOs along with GR86s in the GR Cup Series, and look forward on what’s to come in 2024.”

Additional driver lineups for SRO GT4 America and Toyota GR Cup will be announced at a later date.
