Patrick Emerling is scheduled to compete in 24 NASCAR Xfinity Series races for SS GreenLight Racing throughout the 2024 season.

Emerling, who was previously co-owner of Emerling-Gase Motorsports, will be the primary driver of the No. 07 car for team owner Bobby Dotter. Along with Emerling’s Xfinity schedule, he announced in December he would run the full Whelen Modified Tour schedule in a new partnership with car owner Rich Gautreau.

“I’ll still be in and around the Xfinity Series throughout 2024, but the opportunity to go after the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship is one I couldn’t pass up,” Emerling said in a release. “We came close to winning the title with our family operation a few years ago and we’re going back there hoping to complete some unfinished business.”

Since 2020, Emerling has made 32 starts in the Xfinity Series, earning a best finish of 14th last July at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Last spring at Darlington Raceway, he led his first career lap.

The bulk of Emerling’s 32 starts came in 2023, competing in a career-high 17 races. He earned a trio of top-20 finishes.

“My goal is to try to stay around in the sport as a driver for a little while,” Emerling said in an interview with Jayski last fall. “The more races I run, the better the driver gets.”

Emerling will start his 24-race schedule in the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway.
