Mason Maggio shared on social media on Friday evening that he’ll be attempting the season-opening CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race at Daytona International Speedway with new team Floridian Motorsports.
“Super excited to be heading to Daytona next weekend with the newly found Floridian Motorsports,” he posted. “Crazy to think Mr. Osteen brought this idea to me at the beginning of the month. Now we’re going to attempt to qualify for the biggest race of the year!”

AND: Floridian Motorsports has acquired a former Kyle Busch Motorsports superspeedway chassis from On Point Motorsports for Daytona, and two engines. As of now, Daytona is the only solidified attempt for the team, but Osteen will assess his next steps after Daytona.
Osteen and Maggio detailed that if all goes well in Daytona, the team could make a start or two at intermediate tracks as the season rolls along.
