Craftsman Truck Series regular Dean Thompson will make his Xfinity Series debut in Saturday’s BetMGM 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, driving the No. 26 Toyota for Sam Hunt Racing.
Through 10 truck races this season, Thompson ranks 20th in the championship standings, earning a trio of top 10 finishes. He will be the 22nd driver to compete for Sam Hunt Racing since the team debuted in 2019.
After getting off to a hot start in 2024, SHR has dropped to 19th in the Xfinity Series owners standings, the exact position it finished in 2023.
