ORIGINAL POST: With the start of the Indianapolis 500 delayed by rain, Kyle Larson has reportedly chosen to stay in Indianapolis to compete in the Indianapolis 500.
He will return to Charlotte after the race and take over the No. 5 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet from Justin Allgaier who will start the race. Allgaier will have to start at the rear for a driver change.
Kyle Larson will need a waiver from NASCAR to make the playoffs, but that’s not expected to be an issue.
