Rackley W.A.R. announced today that Dawson Sutton will return to the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series at his home track Nashville Superspeedway later this month. The 18-year-old will take the wheel of the No. 26 Rackley Roofing / W.A.R. Shocks Chevrolet for the fourth annual Rackley Roofing 200 at the 1.33-mile tri-oval.
Sutton made his Truck Series debut at North Wilkesboro Speedway earlier this season in a weekend plagued by rain. After starting 36th when qualifying was rained out, Sutton suffered an overheating issue that put him behind at the end of stage one.
After removing tape from the nose, the temperature returned to a better level before the race’s conclusion was postponed to Sunday morning. The damage already done, Sutton continued to log laps but ultimately finished 28th, two laps down.
Coverage for the Rackley Roofing 200 begins Friday, June 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 2.
