NASCAR confiscated the steering wheel from the No. 38 Front Row Motorsports Ford of Layne Riggs ahead of Saturday’s Baptist Health 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
After Riggs’ steering wheel was confiscated, the truck was re-weighed and was four pounds below NASCAR requirements. After weight was added to bring the truck to NASCAR’s allowable limits, Riggs had to drop to the back for the start of the race.
More info on the re-weighing of the Layne Riggs truck earlier today: NASCAR confiscated the steering wheel today and then made them go back through weights again. So there could be an additional penalty to the Riggs team depending on what they find.
