Pre-race inspection is complete in the NASCAR Cup Series garage.
- No. 66 failed inspection twice
- Team Engineer Austin Webb has been ejected, and the team will lose pit selection for this weekend.
- No. 16 post-qualifying update
- After passing P/Q inspections, during practice adjustments the team made an unapproved adjustment to the splitter. Prior to practice the car was returned to the Cup garage and it was re-run across the USS (underbody scanning station). The repair adjustments were made, and the car was back into inspection tolerance before practice and qualifying.
- The unapproved adjustment resulted in the following:
- The team was held 10 minutes at the start of practice, will lose pit stall selection for tomorrow’s event, and car chief Jaron Antley has been ejected for the remainder of the weekend. Antley’s hard card was also confiscated.
- Additionally, the No. 16 will start at the rear of the field and perform a stop and go penalty after taking the green flag.
