Cleetus McFarland eyeing Truck Series debut with new manufacturer

YouTube star and ARCA driver Cleetus McFarland could get involved with the prospective new NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team from Stellantis’ Ram brand should the automaker complete talks to enter the sport, according to four people familiar with the matter and a document seen by SBJ.

McFarland, the automotive enthusiast whose real name is Garrett Mitchell, has started to become something akin to NASCAR’s version of Jake Paul this year by competing in real competition in what is effectively the sport’s fourth division. So far this season, McFarland has made three starts in ARCA after debuting at Daytona in February.

Stellantis is said to be likewise initially looking to re-enter the sport through the Truck Series as soon as next year, though nothing has been announced.
