Jack Wood not competing at Richmond, injured at Watkins Glen

Jack Wood will miss Friday’s Eero 250 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Richmond Raceway, McAnally-Hilgemann Racing announced on Thursday.

Wood was injured in a Lap 35 wreck last weekend at Watkins Glen International after hitting the outside Armco barrier while racing through the esses. The No. 91 Chevrolet will not compete at Richmond.

“Jack Wood will not compete in Friday’s race at Richmond Raceway for precautionary measures due to an injury sustained at Watkins Glen International,” the team said in a statement. “The No. 91 entry has been withdrawn from the event.

“An update on Wood’s status will be announced at a later date.”
