Kaulig Racing to Dodge/Ram?

Kaulig Racing President Chris Rice has effectively acknowledged that the team has spoken with new NASCAR manufacturer Ram Trucks, and that comes as people within the industry have increasingly pointed to the team as a viable candidate to align with the brand.

The global carmaker is starting in NASCAR’s third-tier Craftsman Truck Series in ’26 before eyeing a move up the ladder, possibly all the way to the top-tier Cup Series, as soon as ’27. In June, the company officially announced those plans but said it was still working to strike relationships with teams.

While saying he believed every team in the NASCAR garage has had a conversation with Ram, Rice in two interviews with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio this month has not denied that Kaulig is one of them. To that end, Kaulig’s name has been increasingly bandied about in recent weeks by industry executives, with some rivals in the sport now pointing to Kaulig as a team that has a real chance of ending up with Stellantis.

Kaulig is exploring how it could start a Truck Series team next year with Ram while keeping its Xfinity and Truck programs going with a different manufacturer in Chevrolet, one source said.

Because Stellantis is not ready to run in the upper two series of NASCAR, any Cup or Xfinity team that partnered with Ram in ’26 would need to receive special approval from Chevrolet, Ford or Toyota.
