In the days leading up to NASCAR Championship Weekend, Phoenix Raceway is shifting into high gear off the track — driving meaningful community impact through a powerful lineup of charitable events and partnerships across the Valley.
From education and health initiatives to youth engagement and hunger relief, Phoenix Raceway and its partners are proud to fuel positive change through a weeklong slate of giveback efforts starting Thursday, Oct. 23.
“NASCAR Championship Weekend is more than just racing — it’s a platform to make a difference,” said Phoenix Raceway President Latasha Causey. “These events represent our deep commitment to the Arizona community, and we’re honored to work with such incredible partners to create real, lasting impact.”
Events include:
Thursday, Oct. 23 – STEM Education and Tech Empowerment with Larry Fitzgerald Jr.
Phoenix Raceway Charities will host the “Beyond the Finish Line” STEM event for eighth-grade students from Luke Elementary in partnership with the Larry Fitzgerald Foundation. Held from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Phoenix Raceway, the event will introduce students to the science, technology, engineering and math behind motorsports. Each student will also receive a free laptop courtesy of Cox Communications and meet Arizona Cardinals legend, entrepreneur and philanthropist Larry Fitzgerald, Jr.
Monday, Oct. 27 – BMX Thrills and Life Lessons with Swire Coca-Cola and the Boys & Girls Clubs
In partnership with Swire Coca-Cola, Phoenix Raceway will participate in a special event at the Bob Bové Branch of the Boys & Girls Club of The Valley in Avondale from 4 to 6 p.m. Mongoose BMX athlete Cam Wood will visit with club members, who will also participate in STEM-related activities led by Phoenix Raceway.
Wednesday, Oct. 29 – NASCAR Star Daniel Suárez Inspires Phoenix Students
NASCAR Cup Series star Daniel Suárez will visit Carl Hayden Community High School from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. to speak with students about his journey to NASCAR and the importance of resilience.
Oct. 29–30 – Free Mammograms with Breast Believe and The Larry Fitzgerald Foundation
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Phoenix Raceway is teaming up with Breast Believe, a campaign of The Larry Fitzgerald Foundation, to offer complimentary 3D mobile mammogram screenings:
- Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at AZ Complete Health Avondale Resource Center, 995 E. Riley Dr., Avondale. (Click here for registration information)
- Thursday, Oct. 30, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Phoenix Raceway Campground.
Thursday, Oct. 30 – NASCAR Championship 4 Drivers Give Back
During Championship 4 Media Day, NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and CRAFTSMAN Truck Series championship contenders will join forces for two signature community events:
- 9:30 to 11 a.m. – Students from Estrella STEM Academy will meet the NASCAR Xfinity Series and Truck Series Championship 4 drivers during an educational assembly at Mobil 1 Victory Lane.
- 1 to 3 p.m. – NASCAR Cup Series Championship 4 drivers will partner with Phoenix Raceway campers and Society of St. Vincent de Paul to build food kits for local families in need, held inside The Barn.
Thursday, Oct. 30 – Fan Fest in Downtown Phoenix
The community celebration continues with the Phoenix Raceway Fan Fest, a free event from 4–7 p.m. at Civic Space Park in Downtown Phoenix. Fans will enjoy:
- Appearances by Ross Chastain and Daniel Suárez
- A live performance by rising country music star Filmore
- Interactive show cars, photo ops, food trucks, and kids’ activities
On Friday, Oct. 31, the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Championship Race jumpstarts what promises to be a NASCAR Championship Weekend for the ages. Action continues Saturday, Nov. 1, with the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Race and the ARCA Menards Series West’s Desert Diamond Casino West Valley 100. And then on Sunday, Nov. 2, following a pre-race concert from country music star Jordan Davis, the stars of the NASCAR Cup Series will vie for the Bill France Cup in the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race.
