Cope Family Racing intends to compete full time in the 2026 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season, the team confirmed to Jayski.
The first-year organization is actively looking for drivers, as both Thomas Annunziata and Leland Honeyman Jr. will depart the No. 70 team. Honeyman announced earlier this week that he will move to the ARCA Menards Series with Nitro Motorsports.
“As the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season comes to a close, we’d like to thank Thomas, Leland, the staff and crew of Cope Family Racing for all of their efforts this year,” a Cope Family Racing spokesperson said. “We wish Thomas and Leland the best in the next chapter of their racing careers. CFR will continue to compete full time in the 2026 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. Driver and partner inquiries can be sent to [email protected].”
Entering the 2025 season finale, the No. 70 team ranks 31st in the Xfinity Series owners standings, one point ahead of the No. 07 team for SS-GreenLight Racing. In 17 starts, Honeyman leads the team with a pair of top-10 finishes and an average finish of 24.3. He has four finishes of 13th or better at superspeedways. The upstart Annunziata has a best finish of 17th at the Chicago Street Course in 13 starts and failed to qualify for a pair of races (Circuit of the Americas and the Charlotte road course).
