Thursday, attorneys for 23XI Racing and Front Row motorsports asked the court to voluntarily dismiss a portion of their complaint against NASCAR.
The teams are keeping their Section 2 complaint alleging violations of the Sherman Antitrust Act.
The attorneys say this is meant to streamline the case ahead of trial (scheduled to begin December 1).
Think of it this way: Section 1 more would cover NASCAR and ISC working together to monopolize a market. Section 2 covers one company's unilateral acts. That has always been strongest part of case so better to focus on that at trial (2/2)
