JR Motorsports announces 2026 crew chief lineup

JR Motorsports has announced its crew chief lineup for the 2026 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season. The most notable change is Andrew Overstreet moving from the No. 1 car to call the shots for 2024 series champion Justin Allgaier.

Cory Shea has been promoted from the part time No. 9 entry to Sammy Smith’s full-time crew chief. Rodney Childers was announced as the No. 1 crew chief in late September, leading the way for Carson Kvapil and Connor Zilisch.

After winning 11 races as a crew chief in 2025, Mardy Lindley returns to the No. 88 car, which will run Rajah Caruth on a part-time schedule. Phillip Bell will join the team’s No. 9 car, with drivers Shane van Gisbergen and Ross Chastain announced for partial schedules.
