Rick Ware Racing to switch back to Chevrolet

Rick Ware Racing will rejoin the Bow-Tie Brigade in 2026 following a manufacturer switch from Ford to Chevrolet.

RWR fielded Chevrolets from 2017 through the 2021 season — with a handful of Ford starts sprinkled in — before committing exclusively to the Blue Oval for its NASCAR Cup Series initiative beginning in 2022.

The organization will return to Chevrolet for the 2026 season with a technical alliance with Richard Childress Racing, according to multiple sources.

RWR is expected to operate one chartered entry — the No. 51 Chevrolet — in 2026.
