Roger Penske’s name is synonymous with motorsports. An important and respected voice in the industry, he was already regarded as the person who unofficially owned Indianapolis Motor Speedway when he made it official by buying the property and NTT IndyCar Series in late 2019. Penske has won the Indianapolis 500 a record 20 times with his eponymous organization, but he also now shepherds the entire series that the Indy 500 is a part of and its crown jewel racetrack in IMS. Penske is also a storied team owner in NASCAR.
