Mike Hillman Jr. has parted ways with Freedom Racing Enterprises, Spencer Boyd

Freedom Racing Enterprises announced on Thursday that the team has parted ways with crew chief Mike Hillman, Jr.

“Growth has been a core focus of our team since before we opened our doors. Mike Hillman, Jr. has been a part of that for the past two seasons. He became part of our family on and off the track. Today we announced that Mike will be leaving FRE to pursue his personal goals in racing.,” stated team co-owner and driver Spencer Boyd.

“I’d like to reiterate that the trajectory of FRE has not changed. We will be making some exciting announcements in the coming weeks about our development in the offseason, including our new crew chief. As we look back on the progress in the past two seasons, I’m more energized than ever heading into 2026.”
