Tyler Reif taken to hospital following St. Petersburg race: UPDATE

UPDATE: Tyler Reif has been released from a St. Petersburg area medical facility after being treated for heat exhaustion.

Tyler and his family would like to express their gratitude to the NASCAR officials, track medical workers, and the local medical facility staff for their care.

Original post: Tyler Reif, driver of Niece Motorsports’ No. 42 Chevrolet, was transported to an area medical facility following Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race in St. Petersburg, NASCAR and the team announced following the race.

Reif finished 16th in the inaugural Florida street race, overcoming an electrical issue during the pre-race parade laps as well as right-rear damage sustained during the event.
