Talladega Superspeedway announced today that multi-PLATINUM singer/songwriter Kip Moore will headline the Saturday Night Infield Concert at Talladega Superspeedway this spring. The critically acclaimed artist will bring the honky-tonk to Talladega ahead of the NASCAR Cup Series Jack Link’s 500.
“Kip has delivered electrifying performances for country music fans for years and is sure to turn up the energy at Talladega Superspeedway,” said Josh Harris, Region President, Talladega Superspeedway and Darlington Raceway. “There is no better way to build the momentum for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Jack Link’s 500 than with Kip rocking in the iconic infield on Saturday night.”
Moore is a multi-platinum selling singer/songwriter that formed his own path in the country music industry with his debut in 2012. Over the years, he has released five critically acclaimed albums and landed over a dozen chart-topping singles including “Something ‘Bout a Truck”, “Hey Pretty Girl”, “Beer Money”, and “More Girls Like You”.
He will be adding the famed Talladega Superspeedway infield to his long list of venues this April. Moore has performed several sold-out shows around the world including Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, The U.K., Europe and the U.S. leading to a nomination for CMA’s International Artist Achievement Award.
Moore just announced his new album Reason To Believe will be released on May 29. His second full-length in two years, Reason To Believe makes good on Moore’s promise to release more music than ever before. Moore will take the album on the road this year on the Reason To Believe World Tour, where he’ll headline stadiums and arenas across Australia, New Zealand, Europe, US, and the UK, as well as a return to South Africa, where he has opened up the door to country music – playing for crowds of over 40,000 fans. He’s also playing a run of shows with Cody Johnson over the next couple months before heading out on another co-headline tour with Billy Currington.
The spring race weekend action at Talladega Superspeedway kicks off on Saturday, April 25, with a doubleheader. The ARCA Menards Series will hit the track in the Alabama Manufactured Housing 200 followed by the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Ag-Pro 300 at 4:00 p.m. ET. On Sunday, April 26, the NASCAR Cup Series stars will duke it out during the Jack Link’s 500 to close out the weekend at 3:00 p.m. ET.
