Kyle Busch to miss Charlotte races this weekend due to illness

Kyle Busch will not compete in any scheduled activities this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway after experiencing a severe illness that resulted in hospitalization, according to a statement released by the Busch family.

“Kyle has experienced a severe illness resulting in hospitalization. He is currently undergoing treatment and will not compete in any of his scheduled activities this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. We ask for understanding and privacy as our family navigates this situation.”

No additional details were provided.

Busch was scheduled to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series and Craftsman Truck Series races.

Corey Day will drive the No. 7 Truck at Charlotte.
