Dale Coyne Racing and driver Romain Grosjean will honor Kyle Busch during Sunday’s Indianapolis 500 by running its No. 18 entry with the same font Busch used while driving for Joe Gibbs Racing in NASCAR.
According to Adam Stern of Sports Business Journal, the tribute idea came from Townsend Bell, with FOX Sports and Joe Gibbs Racing assisting in the effort.
The No. 18 became synonymous with Busch during his long tenure at Joe Gibbs Racing, where he won 56 Cup Series races and two championships.
