Fresh off a strong run at the Indianapolis 500, Conor Daly is ready to race in front of his home-state fans once again — this time behind the wheel of a Ram 1500 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Kaulig Racing announced today that the 34-year-old Noblesville, Indiana native will pilot the No.25 Ram Free Agent Truck at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on Friday, July 24.
Daly, known for his high-energy open-wheel pedigree, brings star power to Ram’s popular rotating-driver program as the manufacturer makes its return to NASCAR after a 13-year hiatus.
“I’m pumped to get this opportunity at IRP,” said Daly, who made his Truck Series debut at the track in July 2024. “Racing in front of the hometown crowd is always electric, and climbing into a Ram truck with Kaulig Racing for this race is going to be a blast. I know I’ll have a lot of folks cheering at IRP!”
Daly boasts an impressive résumé with 133 NTT IndyCar Series starts, including one pole, six top-five finishes, 26 top-10s, and 213 laps led. In last Sunday’s Indianapolis 500, Daly led four laps and battled for the lead throughout the race before finishing 12th. It marked his fifth consecutive top-12 finish at Indy.
NASCAR fans have already seen him compete in 12 Cup Series, O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, and Truck races. This one-off appearance adds another exciting name to Ram’s Free Agent Program, which has turned the No. 25 into a headline-grabbing showcase.
The truck has already featured NASCAR legends and fan favorites, including Tony Stewart, Ty Dillon, Colin Braun, Corey LaJoie, Travis Pastrana, Parker Kligerman, Clint Bowyer, A.J. Allmendinger, and Carson Ferguson. Former Daytona 500 winner Jamie McMurray is next up on June 19 at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego.
Daly will join the five-truck Kaulig/Ram fleet that includes full-time entries for Corey LaJoie (No. 10), Brenden “Butterbean” Queen (No. 12), “Mini” Tyrrell (No. 14), and Justin Haley (No. 16).
Kaulig Racing, founded by entrepreneur Matt Kaulig in 2016, has grown from a part-time O’Reilly Auto Parts team into one of NASCAR’s rising powerhouses. After securing its first O’Reilly Auto Parts win in 2018 and expanding to Cup in 2020, the team is now making waves in the Truck Series in 2026 through its multi-truck partnership with Ram.
Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, originally known as Indianapolis Raceway Park, opened in 1960 on a converted farm just west of Indianapolis and quickly became a staple of Midwest stock car racing. The Truck Series has raced on the .686-mile oval since the series’ inaugural season in 1995, running continuously through 2011 before returning in 2022. It has earned a reputation as one of the toughest and most exciting short tracks on the schedule.
