eero 400 at Chicagoland Speedway Sold Out

Chicagoland Speedway announced today that Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race – the eero 400 – has officially sold out, as fans will pack the venue for the series’ return to the racetrack for the first time since 2019.

“This sellout is a testament to the incredible enthusiasm of our fans and the excitement surrounding NASCAR’s historic return to Chicagoland Speedway,” said Jacqueline Herrera, General Manager of Chicagoland Speedway. “We’re grateful to everyone who purchased tickets, our partners who helped make this event possible, and the local community for embracing our return during America’s 250th Independence Day weekend. We look forward to welcoming a packed house for the green flag to start the eero 400 tonight.”

There are fans in attendance from 31 countries and all 50 states with 59% of ticketholders being new to attending a NASCAR event.

Chicagoland Speedway opened in 2001 and hosted NASCAR’s premier series for 18 seasons. NASCAR last competed at the Chicagoland Speedway in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic forced the suspension of all racing activity across the country. Alex Bowman, driver of the No. 48 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, recorded his first career win in the 2019 Camping World 400 in Joliet.

In 2022, NASCAR introduced the Next Gen Cup Series car, which quickly raised the intensity of competition at 1.5-mile oval tracks. Since then, fan demand for intermediate tracks like Chicagoland Speedway have continued to grow. Today, those race fans have showcased their support for the racetrack in sold out numbers.

Brandon Jones won the Cuervo 300 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race on Saturday. Connor Mosack took the checkered flag in Friday’s Ashley Furniture 150 ARCA Menards Series race.

The eero 400 starts tonight at 5 p.m. CT/6 p.m. ET. For more information, visit www.chicagolandspeedway.com.
