Chicagoland penalties: Jeremy Clements Racing’s No. 51 crew has two members suspended

In the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, a penalty was levied against the No. 51 Jeremy Clements Racing team in the NASCAR at Chicagoland Speedway, the sanctioning body announced Tuesday.

Front-tire changer Shiloh Windsor and jackman Nicholas Covey have been suspended for the next two events, running through Indianapolis Speedway on July 25, after a detachment of Jeremy Clements’ left-rear wheel on Lap 93 in Saturday’s Cuervo 300, causing a caution and violating Sections 8.8.10.4.A&D in the NASCAR Rule Book.
