The NASCAR Cup Series will run the same Goodyear Racing Eagle tire setup in this weekend’s race at EchoPark Speedway as was used in the Atlanta venue’s spring race.
This tire setup is unique to EchoPark Speedway and features a right-side tire that was introduced for February’s race on the 1.54-mile drafting oval.
Goodyear will introduce an updated right-side tire for the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series this weekend. This new tire features an updated construction with the same compound as before, and will pair with the left-side tire that has raced in Atlanta since 2022. Teams in this series will run inner liners, as is customary on tracks one-mile and longer.
“EchoPark Speedway is a unique track and we bring tires specifically designed for the challenges it presents,” said Rick Heinrich, Goodyear NASCAR product manager. “We introduced a new right-side Cup Series tire earlier this year and will do the same in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, bringing the construction in line with the tires we run at more typical intermediate tracks.”
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will be in action at Lime Rock Park for its fourth and final road course race of the season. The series last ran the current 15-inch Goodyear Racing Eagle road course setup at San Diego’s Naval Base Coronado last month.
Goodyear Racing Eagles are also in action in Brazil, with the FIA World Endurance Championship contesting the 6 Hours of São Paulo on Sunday.
