NASCAR Cup Series teams will run the same Goodyear Racing Eagle tire setup at North Wilkesboro Speedway this weekend as they ran at Martinsville Speedway in March.
This short track tire setup debuted at Martinsville’s 2025 fall race and returned this spring. The right-side tire has also raced at Bowman Gray Stadium and Phoenix Raceway this year.
“Three years of All-Star Race data has helped us prepare for the NASCAR Cup Series’ first points race at North Wilkesboro in 30 years,” said Rick Heinrich, Goodyear NASCAR product manager. “The Goodyear Racing Eagle tire package we are bringing is one teams know well and is backed by years of short-track data at the likes of Martinsville, combined with what we’ve learned in previous years at North Wilkesboro, one of NASCAR’s most historic tracks.”
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will run a familiar right-side tire, raced several times last year including at North Wilkesboro, alongside a new left-side tire. That specification was introduced at Phoenix for the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, but is yet to be raced by the Truck Series.
Goodyear Racing Eagles are also in action this weekend at the NHRA round at Sonoma Raceway.
