Joe Gibbs Racing announced today that Taylor Gray has signed a contract extension to continue driving the No. 54 Toyota GR Supra in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series in 2027. Gray, a 21-year-old New Mexico native, has collected a pair of O’Reilly Series victories driving for JGR and currently sits 12th in the series points standings with three races remaining in the regular season.
Gray has enjoyed success so far in his O’Reilly Series career driving for Joe Gibbs Racing. He burst onto the scene with a third-place finish in his series debut at Richmond Raceway in March 2024. During his rookie season in 2025, Gray claimed his first career victory at Martinsville Speedway in October in addition to seven top-five finishes, 15 top-10s, and three pole awards. He finished the season seventh in the overall standings. Through 21 races this season, Gray has added his second career victory earlier this year at Kansas Speedway to go along with three top-five finishes, eight top-10s, and one pole award.

He has been a great mentor to me and helped me a ton both on and off the track. Gray is a part Joe Gibbs Racing’s rich O’Reilly Series history. JGR has claimed 224 O’Reilly Series victory – most in series history. He is one of 25 different drivers who have taken JGR to victory lane and one of 16 drivers who scored their first series’ win while driving for the team. The organization has earned four O’Reilly Series driver championships and seven owners’ championships.

In 2027, Gray will continue working with crew chief Jason Ratcliff. Throughout his career, Ratcliff has led eight drivers to an O’Reilly Series record 59 victories.
