Homestead-Miami Speedway hosting 2027 NASCAR Championship Weekend

NASCAR Championship Weekend is roaring back to South Florida in 2027! Homestead-Miami Speedway announced today that the sport’s title-deciding weekend will return to the Sunshine State on Nov. 12-14, 2027. The announcement comes as Homestead-Miami Speedway also unveils a transformational $20 million renovation to open this fall, designed to elevate the championship experience for fans, featuring a new primary entry gate experience, a remodeled Ally Champions Club, an expanded fan zone and more.

Next year’s Championship Weekend edition will mark back-to-back years the South Florida facility hosts NASCAR’s season-ending title battles. The upcoming 2026 NASCAR Championship Weekend (Nov. 6-8) marks the return of the season finale celebration following a six-year absence as from 2020–2025, NASCAR Championship Weekend was held at Phoenix Raceway. Previously, Homestead-Miami Speedway hosted the Championship Weekend for 18 consecutive years – from 2002-2019.

“The South Florida community is thrilled to once again be the home for NASCAR Championship Weekend in 2026 and 2027, as next year will be the Speedway’s 20th time doing so,” said Guillermo Santa Cruz, Homestead-Miami Speedway President. “The excitement, drama, and energy surrounding the championship brings tremendous visibility, economic impact, and engagement to our community, while showcasing what Homestead-Miami Speedway can offer as a premier destination for major events.”

Currently, Cup Series stars Denny Hamlin, Ty Gibbs, Ryan Blaney and Tyler Reddick head up the points standings – and are the favorites to contend for the title this coming November in Homestead. Last year, Kyle Larson secured his first Cup Series race win of the season at HMS, and used that victory to help propel him to his second-career championship. However, only two active drivers have won their Cup Series championship in South Florida – as Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano did so in 2012 and 2018, respectively.

Below are the dates for the 2027 NASCAR Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway:

  • Friday, Nov. 12 – NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series
  • Saturday, Nov. 13 – NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series
  • Sunday, Nov. 14 – NASCAR Cup Series

Fans at this year’s return of NASCAR Championship Weekend will experience a $20 million renovation project at Homestead-Miami Speedway that will certainly add to their championship experience.

The capital investment project will feature a new primary gate entry experience, a comprehensive renovation of the Ally Champions Club, an expanded fan zone footprint and additional aesthetic and operational improvements designed to support NASCAR Championship Weekend and reinforce the facility as a premier destination venue.

These enhancements will elevate the fan experience while reinforcing Homestead-Miami Speedway’s status as a championship-caliber destination.”

The project’s centerpiece will be a new primary gate entry experience designed to modernize fan arrival and enhance ingress operations, creating a more seamless experience from the moment guests arrive at the facility.
