NASCAR Cup Series teams will run the same Goodyear Racing Eagles in this Saturday’s race at Daytona International Speedway as they did in February’s Daytona 500.
This tire setup was also raced at Talladega Superspeedway in April. The left-side tire has raced at Daytona since 2022; the right-side since last year’s Daytona 500.
Goodyear will introduce a new right-side tire for NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series teams this weekend. The new specification features an updated construction but no compound change, and will pair with the left-side tire that ran at Daytona and Talladega earlier in the season. NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series teams will also run inner liners, as is customary in tracks one-mile and longer.
“Our Goodyear Racing Eagle superspeedway package is well established, so teams have a strong baseline heading into this weekend’s race,” said Justin Fantozzi, Goodyear’s Director of Racing for the Americas. “The new right-side 15-inch tire is a continuous improvement of the package and follows similar changes we’ve made at other tracks.”
Where racing performance meets cultural legacy
As part of 23XI Racing’s special Daytona race weekend celebration, Goodyear is featured on an exclusive merchandise collection with a custom Racing Eagle design inspired by the legacy of Air Jordan and the team’s history. Fans in Daytona can find the tire on display at 23XI’s merchandise hauler in the fan zone.
