Joe Gibbs Racing announced today that Brandon Jones has signed a contract extension to continue driving the No. 20 Menards Toyota GR Supra in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series through the 2027 season. The extension takes Jones into his 12th full-time season competing in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, while continuing the Atlanta native’s longstanding relationship with JGR for their eighth season together, after Jones first joined the team in 2018.
The extension follows a resurgence for Jones since returning to Joe Gibbs Racing at the beginning of the 2025 season. Since his return, the 29-year-old has scored three wins, 13 top-fives, and 26 top-10s in 56 starts, which translated to a career-best fifth-place finish in the 2025 NOAPS drivers’ championship and a provisional sixth seed in the 2026 standings as the series heads into its final race of the regular season this weekend. Even prior to his return, Jones has found success specifically at JGR, as all eight of his NOAPS victories have come in JGR equipment, while 48 of his 53 career top-fives and 110 of his 145 career top-10s came in with JGR as well.
“(Joe Gibbs Racing) is home to me. We’ve built a great relationship over the years and it’s exactly where I want to be at this point in my career,” said Jones. “Not only has this been the place where I’ve found most of my success in my career, but I also value the chemistry and relationships we’ve built as a team on the No. 20. I think we’re just scratching the surface of what we’re capable of as a group and I’m excited to keep building with this team in 2027.”
Additionally, the deal includes Jones’ longtime partner, Menards, who will follow Jones into the 2027 season, marking the Midwest home retail giant’s 13th consecutive season with Jones in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. Since first appearing on Jones’ car in his NOAPS debut in 2015, Menards has maintained a relationship with Jones, which has now grown into a full-season, 33-race partnership that will continue at that capacity throughout the upcoming season.

With Jones now under contract, Joe Gibbs Racing’s full-time 2027 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series driver lineup is complete, as teammates Brent Crews, Taylor Gray, and William Sawalich are all confirmed to return for the organization next season.

Jones will continue working with crew chief Sam McAulay in 2027, which keeps the duo together for their third consecutive season. In that time, McAulay has scored all three of his wins as a crew chief with Jones to go along with 13 top-fives, 26 top-10s, and three pole awards. Before turning their attention to 2027, Jones and McAulay will focus on contending for a championship in the 2026 NOAPS Chase, which begins next weekend at Darlington Raceway.
