Award-winning actor, director and producer Jason Priestley will serve as Grand Marshal for the Focused Health 302 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Chase Race on Saturday, October 3, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Priestley will join fans for Saturday’s pre-race festivities before giving the command to start engines ahead of the 4:30 P.M. race.
“I’ve had a lifelong passion for motorsports, so being asked to serve as Grand Marshal for the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a real honor,” Priestley said. “There’s nothing quite like the energy and excitement of being at the track, and I’m looking forward to being part of an incredible race weekend — especially with all the action airing on The CW. I can’t wait to give the command to start those engines!”
Priestley’s passion for motorsports extends beyond being a fan. He has competed in the SCCA Pro Rally Series and later transitioned to circuit racing, competing in IMSA GTS and other racing series. He has also provided commentary and interviews for ABC’s IndyCar coverage and was involved in IndyCar team ownership, including FAZZT Race Team.
Off the track, Priestley is best known for his work in television and film. In 1990, he was cast as Brandon Walsh on the hit television series Beverly Hills, 90210. The role made Priestley a household name and earned him two Golden Globe nominations. During the series, he also directed 15 episodes and served as an executive producer through the show’s conclusion in 2000.
Since Beverly Hills, 90210, Priestley has continued to work across television and film. He starred as Richard “Fitz” Fitzpatrick on Call Me Fitz and Matt Shade on Private Eyes, and currently stars in and has directed episodes of Private Eyes West Coast Season 1. His recent acting credits include Wild Cards, Börje, All There Is and Mort sur la Pist (Death on the Racetrack).
Behind the camera, he has directed and produced episodes of Private Eyes and Call Me Fitz, as well as the Netflix series My Life with the Walter Boys. He also produced and directed the Canadian Screen Award-nominated documentary Offside: The Harold Ballard Story. His career has earned him the ACTRA National Award of Excellence and a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame.

Fans can see Jason Priestley take part in Saturday’s pre-race festivities and give the command to start engines before the Focused Health 302. The South Point 400 NASCAR Cup Series race will follow on Sunday, October 4.
