Teams in both the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series will run the same Goodyear Racing Eagles this weekend as they did during their March visit to Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The Cup Series tire setup has been used at a number of other intermediate tracks since the spring visit to Nevada, including last weekend at Kansas Speedway.
“Our intermediate tire package has been run consistently throughout the year, and has raced at a number of tracks like Las Vegas since the March race here,” said Justin Fantozzi, Goodyear’s Director of Racing for the Americas. “Teams can lean on this wealth of data to decide on their setups as the stakes get higher with each race in The Chase.”
The O’Reilly Auto Parts Series last ran this setup at Texas Motor Speedway in May. The 15-inch setup was raced by the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in Kansas last weekend, however. As is customary at tracks one-mile and longer, O’Reilly Auto Parts Series teams will run inner liners at Las Vegas.
Goodyear Racing Eagles are also in action this weekend in the NHRA event at World Wide Technology Raceway outside St. Louis.
