StubHub today announced its first-ever NASCAR partnership, teaming up with journeyman driver Garrett Smithley and SS GreenLight racing/ BRK Racing ahead of the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 7.
The partnership marks StubHub’s latest move to grow its presence across motorsports, bringing the brand directly to NASCAR fans through a new StubHub-branded car livery, driver suit and a series of fan experiences surrounding race weekend.
“Motorsports continues to be an exciting area of growth for StubHub, and Nascar represents an incredible community of passionate fans,” said Shaun Stewart, VP of Open Distribution at StubHub. “Garrett has built his career through persistence and a genuine connection to the racing community, making him an ideal partner as we bring StubHub to Nascar for the first time.”
For its first NASCAR partnership, StubHub is teaming up with a driver whose career reflects the determination and passion that define the sport. Smithley has spent more than a decade competing across NASCAR’s national series, building his career through opportunities with multiple teams and establishing himself as a familiar presence within the racing community.
“I’ve spent my career working for every opportunity to get behind the wheel, so having a brand like StubHub come on board for Homestead is incredibly exciting,” said Garrett Smithley. “NASCAR fans are some of the most passionate fans in sports, and I’m looking forward to representing StubHub on the track and creating some memorable experiences with fans throughout race weekend.”
The partnership debuts with a new car livery and driver suit design, revealed ahead of race weekend, along with fan-facing activations at Homestead-Miami Speedway, including a race day fan giveaway where StubHub will surprise select fans with garage access and ticket upgrades.
StubHub’s entry into NASCAR comes as the company continues to expand its footprint across motorsports, which includes partnerships with BWT Alpine Formula One Team, World Racing Group, and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Through its growing Open Distribution model, StubHub is working with rightholders across live sports and entertainment to connect more events with its global fan base, with motorsports representing a growing part of that network.
