Conor Daly’s rising comfort level in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series has earned him another turn in Ram’s rotating driver lineup, with Kaulig Racing announcing today that the open-wheel veteran will pilot the No. 25 Ram 1500 at Phoenix Raceway.
The 34-year-old Daly made his eighth career Truck Series start at Kansas Speedway on Sept. 26, notching a 16th-place finish—his best career Truck Series result.
“I started to feel a lot more comfortable in the truck as the race went on,” said Daly, who was making his second start in the No. 25. “We didn’t get to practice or qualify in Kansas, but we worked on it all race and finally got the truck dialed in for that last green-flag run, and I felt the most comfortable I have ever felt. Driving a truck is a lot of fun when you have it dialed in. I’m honored Ram and Kaulig have asked me to drive the No. 25 and appreciate the opportunity. ”
Daly knows the mile oval at Phoenix will pose a difficult challenge, but he is eager to get back behind the wheel.
“Racing at Phoenix is always a unique test because of the flat layout and how hard everyone fights for position, but building on what we learned at Kansas gives me a lot of confidence heading into the weekend,” he said.
Daly, known for his high-energy open-wheel background, brings star power to Ram’s popular rotating-driver program as the manufacturer returns to NASCAR after a 13-year hiatus.
Ram made its highly anticipated return to NASCAR in 2026 as a manufacturer partner with Kaulig Racing. The brand quickly made an impact through the innovative Ram Free Agent Program and its “Race for the Seat” initiative. The reality show evaluated a group of drivers before selecting “Mini” Tyrrell for a full-time opportunity.
These efforts have generated significant fan excitement and elevated the visibility of both Ram and the Truck Series.
“I work well with the Kaulig drivers and crew,” Daly said. “The more time together, the better our communication, and that shows on the track.”
Daly boasts an impressive résumé with 133 NTT IndyCar Series starts, including one pole position, six top-five finishes, 26 top-10s and 213 laps led. In the 2026 Indianapolis 500, he led four laps and battled for the lead before finishing 12th. That result marked his fifth consecutive top-12 finish at Indy. He will drive full-time for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing in the 2027 IndyCar Series season.
NASCAR fans have already seen Daly compete in 14 Cup Series, O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and Truck Series races. This appearance adds another high-profile name to Ram’s Free Agent Program, which has turned the No. 25 into a headline-grabbing showcase.
The truck has featured NASCAR legends and fan favorites, including Tony Stewart, Ty Dillon, Ryan Newman, Elliott Sadler, Jamie McMurray, Colin Braun, Corey LaJoie, Travis Pastrana, Parker Kligerman, Clint Bowyer, AJ Allmendinger, Regan Smith and Carson Ferguson.
Daly joins Kaulig Racing’s five-truck Ram fleet, alongside full-time entries for Corey LaJoie (No. 10), Brenden “Butterbean” Queen (No. 12), Tyrrell (No. 14) and Justin Haley (No. 16).
Kaulig Racing, founded by entrepreneur Matt Kaulig in 2016, has grown from a part-time secondary-series team into one of NASCAR’s rising organizations. The team earned its first O’Reilly Auto Parts Series win in 2018, expanded to the Cup Series in 2020 and fields multiple trucks in the Craftsman Truck Series through its partnership with Ram.
Catch the action live on FS1 and the NASCAR Network at 7:30 p.m. EDT Friday, Oct. 16.
